The Reports are also an automated feature. They are created using Pivot Tables. Pivot Tables are an easy way to create a report with only the information you want. Each report worksheet contains a separate report, because the data will grow as the number of your shops increase, I did not want to crowd these reports.. The other tracks the assignments. Let me review the reports so you have a better idea of what they actually do. |

Mystery Shop Payment Status Report |
This report tracks the money (both earned and paid). |
This report breaks down earnings into the three (3) categories of fees you have seen within my spreadsheet |
In Addition, this report tracks the total amount you are due (all three of those individual figures totaled together) |
A Received Amount is also listed, which shows record of all payments you have recorded as having been received on your Payments worksheet. |
An Unpaid Balance section lists any amounts that are still due. An easy way to check to make sure you do not have any "old" outstanding shop payments which have not been received as of yet. |
This report is listed first by Year, Month, then by Week |
This information can easily be updated, simply place your cursor anywhere INSIDE the Pivot table, where the data is located. Click on DATA > REFRESH DATA. |
This is a full screen shot of the Report-Pay Worksheet (showing the Payment Status Report). Since this report is automated also, it is a great feature. It allows me to check and see "if I had a good week and/or month." Plus with the Total Due, received, the Received Total , and Unpaid Balance Columns listed, Everything is based on the Shop Year, Shop Month and Shop Week that the shop was completed in (remember your "Shop Date). |
This screen shot shows a closer look at how the data is reported, first by year, then month, then week, and the fee breakdowns. Look over to the right. Those red figured in the last column show fees for shops done in that month (whatever is listed to the left) that have not been paid yet. At the top is a button the says MS COMPANY, and to the right it says "(ALL)." However you do also have the ability to look at the payment status for any Mystery Shopping Company you have listed on your Assignments Worksheet. Just click on the small arrow to the right of (ALL) and then select the company you want to see the data for.
This is a close up of the fee portion of the report. As you can see everything has subtotals by year, month and week, and then by the individual categories listed.
This screen shot shows how you can customize your report to display ONLY information for one Company. Do you know how well you are doing specifically with one company? You can now! |
This screen shot shows the result of selecting one company using the MS Company field. To return to the "normal" report, just change the company from whatever you selected back to (ALL). |
This is a full screen shot of the bottom of the Report-Pay pivot table. As you can see, it also displays the "grand total" for each of the headings. All your figures are at your fingertips! |
I personally love the reports, I like to be able to see various reports, and having the ability to easily change what I am viewing is helpful to me. But I am just one shopper. Many experienced shoppers will find that this is just a waste. Whatever is helpful to you is what you should use. Remember, what works for one person, may not work for another. I could not imagine using a notebook and a pen to track everything, there is just not enough ability to track things the way I wish to see them. Now that doesn't make this their or this system better, it only makes this system better for me, because it tracks what I want it too. Use a system (any system you choose) that is designed to meet your needs whatever they may be. |
