This worksheet is designed to track how much money is owed to you for completed assignments and to ensure that you are paid all that is owed on each assignment.  The Payment Log pulls much of the required data from the Assignment Log, which is the purpose of the ID# in Column A. The different fields listed within the worksheet are:

ID # (automated field)

Mystery Shop Company (automated field)

Shop Date (automated field)
Assignment # (automated field)

Location Name (automated field)

Store # (automated field)

Shop Fee (automated field)

Bonus (automated field)
Reimbursement Amount (automated field)
Purchase Amount  (Enter the ACTUAL amount of your purchase in this field.  The calculations will adjust if your purchase was more or less than your available reimbursement amount.  The formulas are designed to calculate the amount you are due to be reimbursed based on how much you purchase and what you "allowable" reimbursement amount is.  Be precise with your data entry!)  This field remains ORANGE when an entry is needed, it ten turns to light green when an entry is made.  If no purchase was made, enter 0.00 to ensure the formulas will calculate properly.
Amount to be reimbursed (automated field)
Total to be paid (automated field)
Mileage  (You should be tracking this)  Some companies offer instant access from the shop location to directions, otherwise, any of the mapping sites are a great help - MapQuest, Yahoo! Maps, MSN Maps & Directions, Rand McNally, Lycos Roadmaps, Maps.com, InfoSpace and I am sure there are more!
Date Payment Received  (Enter the date you actually received payment on.  Not the date payment was issued.)
Amount Received  (Enter the amount of your payment).  Look closely at your check, it is possible that it is payment for more than one assignment, if this is the case, list each assignment's payment (i.e.: rece'd $75 check, paid on assignment #1234 $25, #1345 $25, and #1346 $25).  As long as the individual amounts match what you show due.
Method of Payment  (This is a pull-down menu, which offers a selection for you to choose:  Check, Direct Deposit, PayPal).
Balance Due (automated field)  This field will show a negative amount in red if you have NOT been paid, or been paid the proper amount for your assignment.  This field will show $0.00 if you have been properly paid or you have NOT complete the assignment listed.
Shop Month  (automated field)  The Shop Month, Shop Week, and the Shop Year columns are automatically populated when you enter a Shop Date for an assignment.  A a shop date is entered ONLY once the assignment has been completed.
Shop Week  (automated field)  The Shop Month, Shop Week, and the Shop Year columns are automatically populated when you enter a Shop Date for an assignment.  A a shop date is entered ONLY once the assignment has been completed.

Shop Year  (automated field)  The Shop Month, Shop Week, and the Shop Year columns are automatically populated when you enter a Shop Date for an assignment.  A a shop date is entered ONLY once the assignment has been completed.

This is a general shot showing how the Payments page looks when you have data listed in it.  All the data listed here is completely fabricated.  It is shown only for the purpose of allowing you to see how this document will work once you start using it.  As this is the top portion of the page, please note that there IS a "shop date" for all of the assignments shown.  All the data shown is automatically filtered into this worksheet from the Assignment page.  I decided to do this because I wanted to know which assignments and for which companies I have received payment from.
This screen shot shows the balance of information on the right side of the screen (if you were to scroll to the right).  There is a field for special notes (some assignments must be completed on certain days of the week or within certain hours).  The various fees that have been allocated for these assignments.  Then there are two new fields, Month & Week.  These two fields are automated.  They are used for the Reports worksheet, but offer another great way to sort your records.  The fields shown that are highlighted in light green require data entry.  The Mileage can be entered at any point and the other three (3) columns to the right would be entered upon receipt of payment.
This is a screen shot showing the results of using MONTH as a sorting option (see the blue arrow on Month, all the way to the right).  The selection within MONTH that was chosen was December.  In this field, December will pick up all assignments that have been shopped, since both the Month and Week fields are determined by the actual Shop Date.  As you can seem some of the assignments shopped in December show receipt of payment, which others do not.  This is an easy way to see if you have not been paid for assignments that you should have been paid on, or to see what is expected soon.
This is a screen shot showing the results of using both MONTH (December) and AMOUNT RECEIVED as a sorting option (see the blue arrow on Amount Received).  The selection within AMOUNT RECEIVED that was chosen was BLANKS.  In this field, BLANKS will pick up all assignments that have NOT been paid that were shopped in the Month of December.  As you can see it is easy to fine tune your sort criteria to see exactly the data you want.  And as you complete more shops, having the ability to only see the relevant data will be helpful.
This is a screen shot showing the results of using AMOUNT RECEIVED as a sorting option (see the blue arrow on Amount Received).  The selection within AMOUNT RECEIVED that was chosen was NON-BLANKS.  In this field, NON-BLANKS will pick up all assignments that have been paid, regardless of when they were paid.
This final screen shot shows a sort using using AMOUNT RECEIVED as a sorting option (see the blue arrow on Amount Received).  The selection within AMOUNT RECEIVED that was chosen was BLANKS.  In this field, BLANKS will pick up all assignments that have not been paid, most of which have been completed and eight (8) that is shown in this screen shot that has not been completed.
These are just a small number of the available options for using these sorting features that I have incorporated into this spreadsheet.  Please also remember, you can select more than one column.  So you can view your data any way you want to see if.  The possibilities are endless.  Seeing your information the way you want to, that is how you can customize this to your needs and make it your system too.  Remember, to return to the original options, select ALL rather than a specified criteria on all columns you sorted (shown with a small blue arrow), and all of your data will be visible again.
