It is essential to stay organized and keep excellent records.
You are an independent contractor. I noticed that despite the vast numbers
of Mystery Shoppers, there is no software designed for this business. I needed a complete "system" to record everything relevant to my
business. I even tried Peachtree and QuickBooks. They were a bit too
much, and still didn't serve all my needs. I wanted things to be easy, and
automated. I did not want to have to duplicate my data entry efforts.
So I used an abundance of formulas and formatting within all worksheets of this workbook to
automate it and make it much easier for the user, which was me when I designed
it. |

By trade I am an
Excel Analyst / Reports Manager, so I felt the best thing for me to do, was to
create my own system. That is exactly what I did! I created one
Microsoft Excel workbook that allows me to track everything! This is not
software. This is a spreadsheet created in Microsoft Excel. You can
open and use this spreadsheet in any version of Excel. |

You don't have Microsoft Office? Well, there is an alternative, OpenOffice. OpenOffice.org 1.1 is an open, feature-rich multi-platform office productivity suite. The user interface and the functionality is very similar to other products in the market like Microsoft Office or Lotus SmartSuite, but compared to these commercial products OpenOffice.org is absolutely free. OpenOffice.org is able to read and write Microsoft Office files. This allows users to open and save Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on their preferred platform incl. Windows, Linux and Solaris. Many shop assignments will require you to have the ability to open, view and edit Microsoft Office documents (mostly Word and Excel). Don't miss out on potential shops. This is a large download, so it will take a little time, but it is definitely worth it! The file size is 93 MB for version 2.1. |
