This is a general shot showing
how the Assignment page looks when you have data listed in it. All the
data listed here is completely fabricated. It is shown only for the
purpose of allowing you to see how this document will work once you start
using it. As this is the top portion of the page, please note that
there IS a "shop date" for all of the assignments shown. |
This screen shot shows a
realistic view of what the bottom portion of your assignment would continue
to look like. The date at the top in red is automated, you do not ever
have to update this. Which for me was helpful because I tend to review
this every morning WITH my first cup of coffee. The assignments
scheduled for October and November have a blank for Shop Assignment, no need
to print these assignments yet! The assignments listed as "Printed"
changed from light yellow to pink. This is another reminder that this
assignment has not been completed. The color coding is automated to assist you when you have
upcoming assignments. Many shoppers do in excess of 100 assignments a
month. It would take very much when you do that type of volume for one
to sneak past you!
|
This screen shot shows the balance of information on the right side of the screen (if you were to scroll to the right). There is a field for special notes (some assignments must be completed on certain days of the week or within certain hours). The various fees that have been allocated for these assignments. Then there are two new fields, Month & Week. These two fields are automated. They are used for the Reports worksheet, but offer another great way to sort your records. | ||
This is a screen shot showing the results of using
MONTH as a sorting option (see the blue arrow on Month, all the way to the
right). The selection within MONTH that was chosen was BLANKS.
In this field, BLANKS will pick up all assignments that have NOT been
shopped, since both the Month and Week fields are determined by the actual
Shop Date. |
This screen shot shows the
assignment log being sorted by the MS Company Column (see the blue arrow on MS Company column).
Rather than using a "traditional sort", A specific company was selected from
the list (All items are available to be selected in this manner). This
shows the assignments received for one specific MS Company. There are
three (3), two (2) of which have already been completed, and one (1) which
has paperwork printed and is not yet done. Sorting by this way is a
great way to check up on the status of assignments with any company.
Do you really know exactly how much work you get from one company?
Sorting in this manner will show you exactly. |
This screen shot shows
a sort using the Shop Date column, and selecting PRINTED as the option you
want to see (see the blue arrow on Shop Date column).
See, only the items that meet the specified criteria of "PRINTED" within
this column display. These of course are all incomplete assignments.
These assignments, based on what is listed in the log, should all be printed
and ready for you to grab as you need them. |
||
This screen shot shows the
macro button for Assignments and Payments worksheets. Because the
Assignments and Payments worksheets are linked together, they MUST have the
same number of lines at all times. And due to the formulas and special
formatting within each cell, you cannot just insert lines like in a normal
spreadsheet. When you run out of rows to enter your new assignments,
you simply click this button, and 5 brand new rows will appear below your
existing rows. These rows will all contain the proper formulas and
formatting. And when you use this special macro button, it adds the
new rows to both the Assignments and Payments worksheets at the same time! |
This final screen shot shows
a color coding reminder system I set up. The Assignment Start (Column
E) and Assignment End (Column F) will change color (yes, by themselves!), as
your assignments approach their due dates based on the range you enter.
The special formatting uses today's date listed at the top of the worksheet
to determine when your assignments are due and color code them properly.
Just a bit of a "red flag" to alert you. Definitely a helpful item for
both new shoppers and experienced shoppers. |
|||
These
are just a small number of the available options for using these sorting
features that I have incorporated into this spreadsheet. Please also
remember, you can select more than one column. So you can view your data
any way you want to see if. The possibilities are endless. Seeing
your information the way you want to, that is how you can customize this to your
needs and make it your system too. Remember, to return to the original
options, select ALL rather than a specified criteria on all columns you sorted
(shown with a small blue arrow), and all of your data will be visible again. |
